Acer|Mondragon no more.

There comes a time when the King of Kings reign will end. There comes a time when the savior of the people will fall. There is a time that your favorite player decides to not renew his contract for personal reasons. This player is none other than Christoph 'Acer | Mondragon' Semke.

We had some final words with Mondragon and this is what he had to say:

"Since I'm about to finish my masters degree I'm lacking time to keep managing for Team Acer right now. That's the main reason why I'm not renewing my contract: to focus on the end of my studies. I want to thank Josh and Uwe for giving me the possibility of being part of the project. Thanks to everyone in Team Acer that helped to develop Team Acer. Thanks to all my SC2 members for having such a great and successful time, I'll be watching you guys and Team Acer and hope that you can continue your development. Best of luck everyone, thanks for the great time and hopefully we can meet again on some other occasion. Take care :)"

Our CEO Uwe 'Acer | webmuggle' Semtner also had some final words for Mondragon and his response to Mondragon's departure:

"During the time we managed to get Mondragon into our team we already knew when we would have to lose him.  As he did in esports during the last couple of years, he also had a clear master plan for his "post-esport career". So we reach now the point where we have to say "Good bye and thank you" to a great guy and an outstanding player for the job he did in Team Acer. In the name of the whole of Team Acer I wish him the best for his new job challenges and sometimes "time" and the mood to play.  We will stay in touch and friends for the future."

Acer | Mondragon has been part of our team for over a year as a Manager. He has helped form Acer.SC2 into what it is now and what it will be in the future. Here at Team Acer we are truly saddened by the fact that he won't renew his contract, but we also are happy for what he wants to bring to his future. We will give him our support no matter what he decides later on down the path that he's forged. He may or may not come back to Starcraft 2; we can only hope for the best. For now, let's say good luck to Mondragon and we will continue on for you. Remember Mondragon, your gaming spirit will always live on throughout the community. We will miss you.

A full interview was conducted with Mondragon regarding his BW career, famous team-mates and famous opponents throughout the years here.
