Acer TeamStory Cup Final announced
Since its start after CeBIT 2013, the Acer TeamStory Cup by Intel has been hosting a total of 9 teams - from which one unfortunately disbanded - that are still competing in weekly playdays in order to obtain a spot in the finals. So far we have 12 completed matchdays out of 18 which means that even half of the teams involved still have chances to advance in the finals.
The Acer TeamStory Cup by Intel will be holding its finals in Krefeld, Germany on August 17th and 18th, where the best four teams of the regular season will be offered the chance to fight for a stunning prize pot worth of 20,000 USD divided as listed bellow:
Also, every team will be rewarded with with a 1,500 USD cheque just for showing up at the event, which boosts the minimum earning for a showing team to 3,500 USD.
A very interesting game system will be used at the Acer TeamStory Cup by Intel finals, which features a best-of-9 all-kill format with some small modifications as you can read bellow from the official announcement:
"[...] the system resembels that of the Bundesliga, there are two rounds, therefore each team faces off twice. In every match the teams fight for one point of the leaderboard. For the final we will make a switch and use a double elimination system. This means in the final, the team from the losers bracket needs to win two games. The games are played in a Best-Of-9 all-kill format. A small difference happens to our Acematch rule. This allows a team which is down 4 maps to revive one of their players."
With all these being said, we'd like you to stay in touch with our website as well as the official Acer TeamStory Cup by Intel page in order not to miss the amazing action offered by such teams as MVP, Acer, mousesports, Liquid, Millenium, Axiom and more.
