LoL team heading to Sweden

THOR Open

It's seems like our League of Legends squad found its way to success. After some good practise games during the week, they signed up for the THOR Open Qualifier #2 and managed to win the whole tournament and therefore qualified for the offline final in Sweden.

THOR Open is a Swedish tournament with eight Qualifiers, whose winners qualify for the grand final, which takes place in Stockholm, Sweden in December. The prizepool is a total of 14.500 USD, given away to the TOP 3 of the offline final.

Team Alternate's new lineup around ForellenLord and Kottenx was able to come out on top of the first qualifier and is therefore the only qualified team next to the green guys from Team Acer. In todays qualifier teams like fnatic, WinFakt and Lemondogs showed up, but only fnatic was able to not lose a single game - until the final match against  Thomas 'Acer | Schabs' Vogel & Co. Team Acer proved their shape of the last days and took down the 4th place of the EU regional finals, fnatic, and secured themselves a slot for Sweden.

There is not exact date for the grand final announced yet. Team Acer will inform you about any details as soon as possible.

Thomas 'Acer | Schabs' Vogel gave us a short statement about the tournament:

'We just qualified for the THOR OPEN in Stockholm with a decisive win against fnatic in the finals of the 2nd qualifier.
After the lack of tourneys in the 2nd half of september and the beginning of october we now had a chance to prove our newly formed team in a competetive environment, beating the #4 team of the EU-Regionals.

Dont forget to support us in less then 2 weeks aswell when we compete in the WEM-tournament in china!'
