Battlefield 3 EPS Finals

Let´s go back in time. If you had asked anybody after 4 match days who would reach the finals, no-one would have gotten it right. Six points out of five matches and the finals nowhere in sight one could think. With lots of lineup changes and unfortunate map/opponent combinations the situation was understanable, however not acceptable.

But for the team it was always clear that with the dedication and effort they put in, they would be able to reach the playoffs. Four victories out of the last five matches were promised and four were achieved, securing the 5th place in the regular season. Not what we hoped for at the beginning of the season but conciliatory in light of the  obstacles.

The first playoff match had to be played against w4sp, a newcomer that suprised everybody by reaching the finals. In the regular season they were able to overcome Team Acer on an airmap, which gave them confidence that they would be able to do so again in the playoffs. Eventually, all airmaps were vetoed and Team Acer was able to win in a decisive manner with 631:0 tickets on the very infantry heavy maps Grand Bazaar and Seine Crossing.

In the semi-finals TKA was waiting, finishing the regular season flawlessly with 10 victories in 10 matches. In the first EPS season Team Acer was able to overcome them in a close match, whilst in the second season it was their turn to overcome Team Acer, both times on Strike at Karkand.

What could anyone have hoped more for than seeing this old rivalry settled in a Bo3 semi-final? And the match held what it promised, going over the full distance of three maps Team Acer was able to defeat TKA with 455:100 tickets. That being 5 times more tickets than any team was able to get from TKA during the regular season, knocking them out of the playoffs with their first loss in thirteen EPS matches.

Now Team Acer is looking forward to the final match. The opponent, as in the last season, is iPLay. The match will be played on Seine Crossing, Tehran Highway and Grand Bazaar, all being maps that the team was able to practice a lot in the past weeks. The team is highly motivated to take away victory and get revenge for last season's loss.

That being said there is nothing left but to wish our team good luck and the very best for the match.

Stay tuned and do not miss the action this wednesday at 20:00 CET, streamed as always by Bora 'Acer | kazamBilir
