Convincing performance at The Summit

The tournaments were held in the 5on5 and 8on8 game mode. Unfortunately the number of contestants was not so high with six teams participating in each tournamnent. However, with three EPS teams the level of competition was set high.

In order to make the tournament more challenging, a league system with best of three matches was chosen. Our very own Battlefield 3 team showed a convincing performance beating Tt.dragons 625:0 and not dropping a single round until the last match against iPlay.

In the final match, facing iPlay, Team Acer had to take a close loss and settle for the second place in the 8on8 tournament.

The 5on5 infantry only tournament which is the standard mode for all competitive lans, was played in double elimination mode. Again Team Acer went without dropping a round until facing off iPlay in the Winner Bracket Final. However, this time the team was able to seize victory dropping only one round, winning with 354:34 tickets.

Afterwards iPlay decided to withdraw from the 5on5 tournament leaving Tt.dragons as final opponent. They were not able to pose a significant threat to the tournament win and lost both maps, not claiming a single round, leaving Team Acer to claim the tournament win.

The tournament was followed by many on the three streams set-up by Team Acer. Bora 'Acer | kazam' Bilir and Jan 'Acer | jaNsen' Rüttgerodt provided two raw streams. Dimitri 'Acer | kypez' Petrik featured a commentated stream, which was well visited. The streams proved worthwile, having constant 200 viewers and peaking up to 500 in total, coming close to the numbers reached at Dreamhack.
