WCG 2012 without LoL & SC2?
World Cyber Games 2012
A few weeks later, different eSport pages got the information that WCG will approximately will stay as a 'real eSport gaming event'. From today on we can be sure: WCG will stay as a tournament with PC competition, since WCG announced the official games for the 2012 grand final, which will take place in China - that's what the official announcement says.
As you can see, the currently two biggest eSport games, League of Legends and StarCraft II are not listed. As Team Acer got to know, the WCG organization is currently talking with the publishers about a LoL and SC2 tournament in China. Further information will follow soon. The second rumour going around is that there will maybe be a SEC, but it isn't confirmed yet. Make sure to stay tuned for more information! source: official WCG press release share comment |
