DBG: deto qualified for gamescom

Yesterday the first online qualification for the format "Deutschlands Bester Gamer" (Germanys best gamer) took place.

32 players were able to get a slot for the final bracket by playing ESL Versus and make it to the Top 32 there during the last 31 days. The final bracket was played on one day and sadly all three Team Acer players were seeded in the same part of the bracket. That's why we saw Kai 'Acer | deto' Wollin and Sascha 'Acer | poldi10' Schumacher facing each other in the semi-finals. In a close match Acer | deto came out on top and was ready for the final. Eventhough being part of the final already secured him a slot for the gamescom, he wanted to win the tournament and did it by sending home Schiewe with 2:1.

So in the end our world champion Kai 'Acer | deto' Wollin once again proved his skills in FIFA 12 and you guys will be able to watch him competing in the DBG FIFA final at gamescom 2012 - as you may remember: Sascha 'Acer | poldi10' Schumacher won the FIFA final last year and took home some nice hardware prizes from the final.

At gamescom 2012 three DBG tournaments will be played: FIFA 12, Halo and NFS:World. All the winners will compete in a game-across tournament to find out who is the best in those three games and will drive home with a very new VW UP car!

gamescom 2012 will take place from August 16th to August 19th.
