Valve announces 'The International'
The International 2012One of the world's elite games producers since 1996 and the very known creators of the Steam gaming platform, Valve has announced the second edition of the 1,000,000 USD Dota 2 tournament mostly known as The International. This year's event will take place from August 31 to September 1, 2012 at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Washington, USA where the best sixteen teams on the planet will fight for supremacy during the most important and intense championship of the year strictly refering to the huge amount of prize money shared by its organizers. A total of eight teams have been so far invited while an announcement with the rest of teams will be sooner or later published. The participants list at this moment looks as follows: In 2011, The International ended up with Na`Vi's victory in the grand final against EHOME from China. The Ukrainian team has been crowned as the first ever Dota 2 champions and has been also given a stunning 1,000,000 USD check. What is important for the public at home is the fact that just like in 2011 all the matches will be separately broadcasted in great quality and last but not least in terms of importance, all the streams will be free of charge. We all expect some amazing encounters so let the game begin! source: Dota2.com share comment |
